I missed last week theme, even been a big fan of feet.
So, for this week a brand new image!
Sculpted in plastiline, photographed and finished in Photoshop.
Well, that was fun.
If somebody is interested in the original photo pre-editing, just ask and I will post it.
-----
Anyway, I used plastiline because that is what I had at home, the work is not permanent, and since is based in wax, if os too hot, is going to get soft and change shape...
I have never used Skulpey, so I really can't help you there, Garth.
But one thing I can say, every brand, even if they say are the same, are really different, so if you like to sculpt, research a little, try different brands, and find the one that is good for you. For example FIMO is very good, if you are doing permanent stuff and plan to put it in the oven to harden. For fun, quick stuff, I prefer plastiline.
The next image is the sculpt before all the photoshop.
Is not big, you can see that the base is a wine cork!

That is too cool. I love how you did the creature and then edited in Photoshop. Great concept!
What a sweet monster! I love how you combined multiple media - I've yet to do anything but pencil/colored pencil. Great job!
Love to hear you got your hands dirty before using the computer. Great job! Heck yes I want to see the pre-photoshopped version!
Question: Is plastiline better than skulpey?
This is very, very goo!!!!!!
I love this... Let me know when they go on the market!
Cool! ; ))))))))))
SMooch,
The Tart
WOW! Great stuff. I am amazed at the whole process. Great post.
love
Whoa!!! I love the Monster Sculpture and the final results.
Now I'm gonna have bad dreams, I just know it...
I love your technique, first the skulpture and then PS. Great work on both.
very cool!
I love what you did! Its great and fun! And I really expected something bigger before seeing the pic of the original model.
Wondrous! Neato sculpture! Love the whole effect!
Fabulous results! Thanks for sharing the process! I like the effects you put into it and the subtle color changes, like the gradient to the tail to give it a sense of depth. The sub's lighting is great too!
Great job!
